Datalens support

Help with the extension.

Common questions first. If none of them match, write to us — we read every message and bug reports from real files are the most useful thing we receive.

The extension won't open a file

Datalens reads CSV, Excel (.xls/.xlsx) and JSON. If a file is rejected, check the extension matches the actual format — a .csv exported as tab-separated is the most common cause.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Everything is parsed and rendered inside your browser; nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else. That is also why there is no account and no sync.

My settings reset

Preferences are kept in the browser's local storage for this extension. Clearing site data, or a profile that syncs across machines, will reset them.

Something is broken, or missing

Email us with the file type, what you expected and what happened. Bug reports from real files are the single most useful thing we get.

Not installed yet? Get it from the Chrome Web Store (opens in a new tab).

Support development

Datalens is free, and the core features stay that way. Contributions are entirely optional — they fund the work rather than unlock anything.

  • Enhance AI algorithms and features
  • Improve the user experience and interface
  • Add new data visualization capabilities
  • Expand integration options
  • Provide better customer support
  • Maintain and upgrade infrastructure
