Learning Management software

The hard part of an LMS is not the videos. It is proving who completed what.

Hosting content is solved and cheap. The requirement that justifies a build is evidence: which employee completed which version of which mandatory module, when their certification lapses, and whether the assessment they passed was the current one. That is a records problem wearing an education costume.

What it replaces

  • Training delivered in person and recorded on an attendance sheet that is scanned and filed.
  • Content in a drive folder, with no record of who opened it, let alone who understood it.
  • Certification expiry tracked per person in a spreadsheet, checked when an audit is announced.
  • A generic LMS whose course model cannot express your prerequisites, cohorts or recertification cycle.

What we build

The parts that make it a system.

Scoped to what you run. A module you do not need is not a discount we withhold — it is work nobody does.

Courses, content and paths

Modules built from video, documents and interactive content, with prerequisites, learning paths per role, and versioning so a course revision does not silently invalidate completion history.

Cohorts, scheduling and delivery

Self-paced and cohort-based delivery, instructor-led sessions with attendance, blended paths, and enrolment driven by role from your HR system rather than by manual lists.

Assessment and certification

Question banks with randomisation, attempt limits, practical or supervisor sign-off where a quiz proves nothing, and certificates with expiry that trigger recertification automatically.

Compliance records and reporting

Completion by person, team, role and course version; overdue and lapsing views; and an export that satisfies an auditor without a week of assembly.

Where AI actually helps

And where it does not.

Two honest uses and one caution. Generating draft assessment questions from your existing material saves subject-matter experts real time, with review before anything is set. A tutor that answers learner questions from the course content — the same retrieval engineering as our chat agents — works well and stays inside what the material says. The caution: automated grading of free-text answers where a certification depends on the result is not something we will ship without a human in the loop.

Integrations

What it has to talk to.

A system that does not reach the ones you already run creates a second place to type things, which is the problem you started with.

  • HR system for enrolment by role and for completion records
  • Video hosting and streaming, integrated rather than rebuilt
  • SCORM or xAPI, where you have existing course packages
  • Single sign-on through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365

The limits

What we do not do here.

Including, on several of these pages, telling you not to buy a build at all. That advice has cost us work. It has also stopped projects that would have failed in month three, which is cheaper for everyone.

  • We do not write your course content. We build the system; the material and the subject-matter expertise are yours.
  • We do not build a consumer course marketplace with its own discovery and payments unless that is explicitly the project — it is a different product with different economics.
  • Accreditation is not something software confers. Where a certificate has to be recognised by a body, their requirements govern and we build to them.

In practice

Where this shows up.

Regulated workforces

Safety, quality and compliance training where the completion record is a legal artefact and lapsing certification has to stop someone being rostered.

Education and training providers

Cohorts, assessment and certification are the product, so the requirement runs deeper than internal training ever does.

How it runs

Fixed scope, fixed price, working software each sprint.

  1. 01

    Discovery

A call, then a written read of the problem — what it costs today, what would have to be true for software to fix it, and whether we're the right people.

  2. 02

    Proposal

Fixed scope, timeline and price. No open-ended discovery phase billed by the hour.

  3. 03

    Build

Agile sprints with something running at the end of each one. You see progress in the product, not in a status deck.

  4. 04

    Ship & support

Cloud deployment, production monitoring and a maintenance arrangement that starts before launch, not after the first incident.

Related

Systems that usually come up in the same conversation.

Most of these share data with each other. Where two are in scope we would rather build one system than two that sync.

HR Software

Employee records, attendance, leave, onboarding and appraisals — with payroll integrated rather than reinvented.

Event Management

Registration, ticketing, scheduling and on-site check-in for events where the spreadsheet stopped scaling two events ago.

Document Management

A document system that knows what a document is about — versioned, permissioned, retained and actually searchable.
