WhatsApp automation
WhatsApp is where your customers already are.
Most businesses in India and the Gulf run their customer conversations on WhatsApp, and most run them by hand on somebody's phone. We build the version that answers instantly, stays inside Meta's rules, and hands over to a person when it should.
What it replaces

- A personal number that one employee owns, and that leaves with them.
- Enquiries that arrive at 11pm and get answered at 11am, by which point the customer has messaged a competitor.
- No record of what was promised, because the conversation lives on a handset.
- A team copy-pasting the same six answers all day.
We operate this ourselves
Vartalap
Vartalap is our own conversational agent, deployed on WhatsApp and web. We run it in production, which means the platform's constraints are not something we read about — they are something we have already had to design around.
How it works
What we actually build.
- BSP selection and onboarding, with an honest read on which provider suits your volume rather than the one that pays the best referral.
- Message templates written and submitted for approval — including the resubmissions, because first-pass rejection is normal and planning for it is the difference between launching in a week and launching in a month.
- Opt-in capture that holds up: how consent is collected, where it is recorded, and what happens when someone withdraws it.
- An agent grounded in your catalogue, pricing and policies, so it answers from your data rather than improvising.
- Human handover with full context, so the person picking up does not ask the customer to repeat themselves.
- Green-tick (verified business) application, where you qualify for it.
The limits
What it does not do.
Every one of these has cost us a deal at some point. They have also stopped us selling something that would have failed six weeks in, which is the cheaper of the two outcomes for everybody.
- Per-conversation pricing is Meta's, not ours. We will model what your volume actually costs before you commit, and if the numbers do not work we will say so.
- Outside the 24-hour customer service window you can only send approved templates. No integrator can change that, and anyone implying otherwise is describing a policy violation.
- Template approval is Meta's decision and takes as long as it takes.
- We do not buy, scrape or supply contact lists. Messaging people who never opted in is the fastest way to lose the number entirely.
In practice
Where this shows up.
On an export desk
Enquiry to quotation without a person retyping specifications into email — the agent captures what is being asked for and routes it with the details attached.
At a clinic or a counter
Appointment booking, reminders and rescheduling on the channel patients already use, which is the one they actually reply on.
Also
The other channels.
Different constraints, same job. Most clients start with one and add the next once it is running.
AI chat agents
Website and in-app chat that answers from your documentation, cites it, and knows when to fetch a person.
AI voice agents
Calls answered on the first ring, around the clock, with the booking made and the record updated.
